Paste from Excel into Sierra

In addition to our normal tasks of marketing, tech support and development, the Tournament Expert staff continues to run tournaments. It lets us test our new features against live situations and suggests new ways to approach problems. For example, when we started receiving many lists of players in Excel, we noticed we had no easy way to get the lists into Sierra. This clearly demanded an - immediate - solution. The feature was written and added, and it has been very useful to us and to our customers.

Pasting from Excel reads two types of lists: vertical lists of players and horizontal lists of teams. Commands and routines exist for both types of lists that help pull the list into Sierra's Player List.

It's so quick that it almost feels like there is a direct link between the spreadsheet and the Player List.

To make your life even easier, Sierra ships with a blank spread sheet that can be sent to Tournament Directors for them to fill in. When it is returned, it can be read directly into the Player List.
