Player Import and Player Lookup

To ensure accurate player indexes and handicaps, Sierra contains routines that read files exported from existing handicap systems. The type of file varies according to the handicap system. Complete step-by-step instructions (with screen shot examples) for creating each system's export file are in the help file.

Many handicap systems are already included in the import list (File/Import). If the handicap system in use at your facility is not in our list, we would be glad to work with you to create an import routine.

Once players have been imported, the list is stored in a location that can be accessed by the Player List. Quickly find any player in the stored list by typing that player's last name, first name, or member number. As soon as the first key is pressed, a lookup list appears. Continue typing and the list will move to the name that matches the keys typed. When the desired player is highlighted, tap the ENTER key and that player's information will flow onto the current Player List row.
